Pomegranate Margarita

Serve up a pitcher of fruity pomegranate margaritas this Rosh Hashanah! This simple recipe is the perfect signature cocktail for your holiday party. 

Equipment:

Cocktail shaker or jam jar

Ingredients:

  • 1 lime wedge 

  • 2 tbsp coarse salt

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 4 oz tequila

  • 2 oz orange liqueur

  • 2 oz lime juice

  • ½ cup pomegranate juice 

  • Ice cubes

  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds

  • Fresh mint and sliced lime for serving

Preparation:

  1. Run a lime wedge around the outer rims of 4 glasses, dipping into a salt and sugar mixture. Set aside.

  2. Combine a handful of tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and pomegranate juice in a cocktail shaker or jam jar. 

  3. Fill glasses with ice and pomegranate seeds.

  4. Strain the margarita over the ice. 

  5. Garnish with fresh mint and sliced limes.

  6. Enjoy!

Note:

  • Looking for a nonalcoholic version? Substitute sparkling water and a splash of orange juice for the tequila and liqueur!
