Make Tashlich Meaningful

Tashlich (literally, “casting off”) allows us to clean out our pockets, throwing our messy crumbs to the wind in preparation for a new year with a clearer conscience.

Tashlich typically takes place at a moving body of water (sea, river, or stream). Symbolically, we toss bits of bread or other eco-friendly items (pebbles or leaves) into the water to “cast away” unwanted behaviors.
