Shavu'ot Blooms

 

Some say that when Moses descended from Mount Sinai with the Torah, the entire mountainside bloomed with flowers, filling the air with a scent of roses and lilies.

 

Ready to get started?

Follow along to create your own colorful Shavu’ot blooms!

1 Tear off 7 strips of paper of the same length,

2 Add 1 dot of glue to each of the connector tabs.

3 Glue 1 strip of paper from Step 1 to each tab. Be sure to let the glue dry before the next step.

4 Turn over and repeat steps 2-3 on the back. Wrap the paper strips into petals and glue as shown.

5 Repeat Steps 1-4 to create 3 layers of petals: 2 large and 1 small.

6 Add a ring of glue to the center of each petal layer.

7 Stack and glue the 3 layers together as shown to create a full flower. Press and hold to let glue set.

8 Glue the Days Shavu’ot Bloom circle in the center. Press and hold for glue to dry.

Tip: you can also place a heavy mug in the center to apply pressure while drying.

9 Once dry, turn the flower over. Use the green sticker to connect the back to the wooden dowel. Now you are ready to display the Shavu’ot blooms in your home!
