  • Wearing Masks and Breads

    Performers wear elaborately designed costumes while the crowds dress in festive and colorful costumes with masks, beads, and other decorations.

  • Finding the Plastic Baby in the King Cake

    A small plastic baby is hidden inside a colorful ring-shaped cake and the person who finds it gets to be the “king” or “queen” of the celebration.

  • Catch Beads at a Parade

    Parades featuring floats are adorned with vibrant lights and costumes, while onlookers line the roads to snag some of the beads
